The word Bible comes from the Greek language and means book. The Bible is a set of books that were written by about 40 authors, inspired by God, over 1500 years. The Bible is divided between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament talks about the creation of mankind and tells many stories until the years 445 B.C. The Old Testament prepares for the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. The New Testament talks about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the Bible we find many teachings for our lives, we learn to trust God and to love Him, to love our neighbor, to be better people every day.
